With just ten days to go until Halloween, lots of radical preparations have been taking place at work for our spookiest day of the year… Peaches and Scream. Today, Kate had a play with one of our newest products, a lip transfer from Violent Lips.
Violent Lips specialise in lip transfers in an array of kooky patterns. Did you ever apply a transfer tattoo when you were younger? They’re just like those, but for your pout. As Rosie was modelling for this test application, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to capture on of my favourite families at work… the Donnellys!
First of all Kate chose the template that she wanted to use on Rosie – a purple and pink leopard print pattern to match Rosie’s multi-coloured hair. Then, she made Rosie stretch her mouth like a lion and measured the transfer against the size of Rosie’s fully stretched lips. This was to eliminate any risk of ripping or tearing the transfer as Rosie moved her mouth for basic things like speaking or eating. She cut any excess from the transfer.
Next, Kate removed a film from the transfer to unveil a sticky side. She placed the sticky side onto Rosie’s top lip and pressed down onto it with a damp cotton pad until the backing peeled away easily. Again, she repeated this procedure for the bottom lip.
Rosie was left with some slight excess from the transfer on the inner area of the lip. This was simple to correct; Kate just tucked it under for her and soon she was pretty as a peach. Doesn’t she look fabulous?
