The Bluecoat is one of the most beautiful buildings in Liverpool. Home to those that are creative- be it poets, visual artists, dancers, musicians and others alike- it is the perfect place to stroll around and soak up the artistic buzz of the city. For this reason I am over the moon to announce that I will be starting an internship there tomorrow!
In preparation for my first day, I sprinted to Liverpool One in search of a classy yet cosy kind of outfit. Luckily, I found this gorgeous little Topshop gem within moments of setting foot in store and it fitted like a glove. They’ve got it in a number of other colours, including mint green and a very chic navy blue, and it didn’t break the bank at a reasonable £45. Ladies, if you’re after a winter staple suitable for work and play, I think this might just be it!
During my time at the Bluecoat I’m going to be working as part of the Chapter and Verse festival. Taking place between Wednesday 13th October and Sunday 17th October, the festival is the perfect place for any literature lovers to attend captivating events with established writers. Deep thinkers can also get involved with the extensive variety of philosophical events on offer- the Touched Weekender, in particular, will be a fabulous way for those of you who have visited any Biennial Touched exhibitions thus far to explore the given theme in the context of discussion as opposed to physical art. Ticket prices vary for each event, so for full listings and prices be sure to check the Bluecoat website.
I’ll be sure to keep you posted and look forward to seeing you there. Wish me luck!
